Adding a New Item

To add an item to the Item master file:

1. Open the Item Update screen.

Refer to "Opening the Item Master File".

2. Select FILE | NEW.

Micronet displays the Item Update screen in Add Mode.

3. Enter the item details on the following tabs:

• Item information - refer to "File - Inventory - Item"
• Purchasing information - refer to "File - Inventory - Purchasing"
• Sell Price details - refer to "File - Inventory - Sell Price"
• Desired Markup information - refer to "File - Inventory - Desired Markup"
• Price Names - refer to "File - Inventory - Price Names"
• Price Breaks - refer to "File - Inventory - Price Breaks"
• Extra information - refer to "File - Inventory - Extra"
• Kit (Bill of Materials) information - refer to "File - Inventory - Kit"
• Price Calculations - refer to "File - Inventory - Price Calc"
• Debtor parts - refer to "File - Inventory - Debtor"
• Alternate parts - refer to "File - Inventory - Alternate"
• Supplier parts - refer to "File - Inventory - Supplier"
• Additional item Text - refer to "File - Inventory - Text"
• Item sales Budget information - refer to "File - Inventory - Budget".

Technical Tip Please note that some options may be disabled due to: modules not being available on the system (like Job Costing or Kitting) user ID access having these options removed from the menu selection setup.

4. Select FILE | SAVE.
